On October 25, 2019, the Polish Medical Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Lekarskie, PTL) held an annual celebratory gala in the Royal Palace in Warsaw, on behalf of the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.
Congratulations to PAMS former President and Board member, dr Kornelia Krol. She was among the recipients of the Gloria Medicinae medal. This honor is bestowed to Polish citizens who show a true dedication to service, show the utmost respect for health and human life, are dignified in the art of healing, and uphold the honor and noble traditions of medicine. Other recipients included Prof. Grazyna Rydzewska, Prof. Alicja Wiercinska – Drapalo, Dr Jerzy Friedigier, Dr Przemyslaw Janik, Dr Eugeniusz Muciek, Dr Robert Stepien, Prof. Mariusz Fraczek, Prof. Jerzy Kotowicz, Prof. Krzysztof Kuzdak.
Entertainment was provided by Song and Dance Ensemble “Slask”.
In attendance at the ceremony were many distinguished Members of the Polish American Medical Society, among them Honorary Members Professor Ewa Kuligowska-Noble, Professor Grzegorz Opala Professor Ewa Radwanska and Professor Jerzy Woy-Wojciechowski who is the honorary president of the PTL. PAMS was very well represented by a large group of physicians and friends from Chicago.
