A word from the outgoing PAMS President

A word from the outgoing PAMS President

April 21, 2018

On Sunday , April 15, 2018, members of the Polish-American Medical Society elected the new President and the Board of Directors. On that occasion, as the outgoing President, I expressed sincere thanks to all PAMS members and supporters  and recalled  achievements of our Society during the four years of my  tenure.

PAMS has continued to grow in its role, visibility and prestige, we organized  the 70th Anniversary Gala, three magnificent Balls as well as numerous other events and meetings. We have successfully raised funds to award $15,000 -35,000 annually in scholarships for medical, dental and veterinary students of Polish origin. Thanks to cooperation with the Kosciuszko Foundation we welcomed research exchange  fellows from Poland at the University of Chicago and University of Illinois at Chicago. PAMS has granted Honorary Memberships to 29 distinguished Polish physicians from the US, Poland and other European countries. PAMS and its members have continued to actively contribute to many charitable causes, to Polonia and to Chicago cultural, educational and civic events. The Society plays a leading role in the activities and congresses of the Federation of Polish Medical Organizations and cooperates with universities and medical entities in Poland.

Proud to have furthered PAMS mission during the last four years, on behalf of the entire outgoing Board, I would like to congratulate PAMS’ new President, Dr. Marek Rudnicki and the new Board.

With best wishes for taking our Society to new heights!
